Hostel

The college has four well designed and well-furnished hostels which can accommodate nearly 500 students. A canteen and a lounge with a telephone booth are located on the hostel premises. A warden (normally a trained sister) will be in charge of each hostel where strict discipline is maintained. At an extra cost, more comfortable stay is also available. Fees The Hostel which is located on the campus is under the direct supervision of the Sisters. Students seeking admission to the hostel must be willing to abide by the rules of the hostel.

The Hostel is under the direct control of the Warden, subject to the Principal and Manager HOSTEL FEES ONCE PAID WILL NOT BE REFUNDED

  1. Students will occupy the room allotted to them. No change can be made without the permission of the Warden.
  2. The parents and local guardian will periodically enquire into the ward’s conduct and perfomrance taking whatever action is deemed fit
  3. Students should provide themselves with mattress or quilt, bed linen, mosquito net, buckets, mugs etc.
  4. The mess is common, vegetarian or non-vegetarian. Food will be served in the Refectory and the Hostelites are requested to be on time for meals. Management is not responsible for the meals of latecomers. No food, crockery and cutlery will be taken out of the Refectory. Those who go for extra curricular activities Sports/Dance, should inform the person well in advance.
  5. NO REDUCTION WILL BE MADE IN THE MESS CHARGE FOR ANY ABSENCE. A STUDENT LEAVING BEFORE THE END OF A TERM SHALL PAY THE FULL TERM HOSTEL FEE.
  6. A DEPOSIT OF RS. 1500/- OR ONE MONTH’S MESS FEE WILL BE PAID AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION. NEITHER HOSTEL FEE NOT THE DEPOSIT IS REFUNDABLE IF THE APPLICANT DECIDES TO LEAVE THE HOSTEL AFTER BEING GRANTED ADMISSION. THE DEPOSIT WILL BE ADJUSTED TO THE ACCOUNT OF THE STUDENT AT THE END OF THE COURSE.
  7. Students should retire to bed by 10.30 p.m. All electric lights will be switched off at that hour. Study by candlelight is not permitted. Students should keep lights and burning unnecessary in their rooms.
  8. Strict silence will be observed in the hostel during study hours and on holidays between 9.00 and 11.30 a.m. Study hrs 7.00 a.m. to 8.15 a.m. and 8.00 p.m. to 10.30 p.m.
  9. Attendance of Mass and Rosary is expected from Catholic students except if ill.
  10. Students can leave the campus only with the permission of the warden on holidays, Principal on working days. They will not be allowed to spend weekends with their friends and relatives or go out visiting except with the prior written permission of their parents or guardian. Those who stay out without permission will be dismissed.
  11. Shopping is allowed twice a month.
  12. Students are not allowed to spend the vacation in the hostel.
  13. Students will meet their visitors only in the launch. On no account can they be taken to their rooms or inside the hostel. This rule applies to day students as well. No Visitors are allowed to stay on the campus after 6.30 p.m.

  14. Students should keep no money or valuables in their room. The authorities accept no responsibility if such money or articles are lost.
  15. Hostelites shall not address the students, put up notices or circulate books, pamphlets and papers without the permission of the warden.
  16. Cleanliness and gentility must be observed everywhere in rooms, the refectory, lavatories, etc., Students will keep their rooms, books, bed, surroundings clean and tidy. No waste paper or hair combings should be thrown on the floor or out of the windows or bathrooms. Defacing the walls or doors, damaging the furniture or any kind of destruction is punishable individually or collectively if the person at fault is not traceable.
