Milestones

1963 : Teresian College was started at summer Palace of Mr. Madan Gopal Urs (Presently housing Teresian Convent ).

1964 : Science section and degree first year was started.

1970 : Received grants from MISEREOR.

1973 : Science block and Eden Hostel were inaugurated.

1976 : Commerce section started at PUC level.

1977 : College received Grant in aid.

1981 : B. Com. courses were introduced.

1982 : Department of Studies in Christianity was added as an optional for B.A.

1985 : Assessment of the College by XLRI.

1988 : Silver Jubilee hostel was inaugurated.

1991 : B.Sc. Food and Nutrition, FRM & HD, Clinical Nutrition were introduced.

1995 : 96 : Electronics Department was launched.

1996 : 97 : Computer Science Department was introduced.

2001 : Department of Psychology was introduced.

2003 : Journalism & Public Relation,Bio Technology,Travel and Tourism were added as certificate/Diploma courses.

2003 : Commencement of B.B.M course.

2003 : Accredited by NAAC with B++ Grade with 82.25 %

2006 : Distance education from Mother Theresa’s Deemed University Kodaikanal (Tamilnadu).

2008 : Commencement of PG courses, Msc in Biotechnology.

2008 : Commencement of Twinning programme offered by Pondicherry University.

2008 : College Introduced MBA Course.
